Dinner Rolls

There are few things as good as a still warm from the oven basket of dinner rolls. That yeasty butter aroma that entices you, a slightly crunchy crust to stimulate yor ears and the soft-like texture of the dough that's still realeasing just enough warmth to melt the butter that you add to them. On this horrible cold and cloudy Sunday, that seemed to be the perfect way to spend my time, left overs to be warmed up and served with brunch tomorrow (yes, brunch on a Monday because its a holiday!), they might even be destined to become french toast!

These are pretty easy and straight fwd, but you do need to have a little time in your hands in order to let the yeast work its way, but they are sooo worth the wait.

Recipe: Dinner rolls
Yield: 12 dinner rolls

Ingredients:

-250 g Flour (its better to use "0000", so that the dough comes out really soft)
-156ml warm milk
-7 g instant yeast
-2 tsp white sugar
-2 tsp honey
-1 tsp salt
-Poppy seeds (optional)
-Sesame seeds (optional)

-Mix honey sugar and yeast with part of the milk in a bowl and let stand for 10 min, it will start to look foamy
-Add the rest of the ingredients and form the dough, kneading for about 10 to 15 minutes to form dough.
-Let rise for until double its size (30' - 60'), then punch down and cut into 12 pieces.
-Form balls and set in a baking tray, you can brush a little milk on them and sprinkle
-Let rise for another 30 minutes and then bake at 200C for about 10-15 minutes.

-Tips to check that bread is done: There are three main ways to tell that your bread is cooked all the way through. One is that the bread should feel light and airy, if it seems heavy it can use a couple more minutes in the oven. Another way to check that theyre done, is by tapping on the bottom of the bread, it should sound hollow. The third way is to insert a tootpick at the bottom, it shold come out clean.
