Scones with marmalade

These are the bomb! Easy, fast, no need for cooling, no need for rising... You dont even have to go out and buy anything (who doesnt have butter milk sugar and flour in the pantry?). Just mix everything, 15 minutes in the oven and you're ready to rock. I think these are definitely the way to go for the strawberry shortcakes for the photoshoot next week. You can use sour cream and marmalade, butter and apricot jam, whipped cream and strawberries, cream cheese and blueberries... the sky is the limit.Try them... you can thank me later!



Scones with marmalade
Yield- 10 scones
Ingredients:
2 cups of flour
2/3 cups of milk
30 grs of butter
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
4 tsp sugar

Directions:
-Preheat over to 220 C
-Mix flour, sugar, salt and baking powder
-Rub in butter with your fingers forming a bread-crumb texture
-Add milk and knead to form dough
-Roll out dough, cut out with a 2 1/3 inch round cutter
-Brush with milk
-Bake four 12-15
-Cut in halves and add sour cream and marmalade, or whipped cream and fruit.
