Despite their popularity in the US, sugar cookies where invented in Germany during the 1700. Today, a good 300 and something years later, people make these all over the world. They used to be christmas cookies but now they're everyday delight cookies. I felt like having some of these today, and decided to use a cookie press to shape them into cute little cookies to take to my parent's house this afternoon.

2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
60 gr butter (softened, not melted)
60 ml milk
150 gr sugar
1 egg
Directions:
-Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy
-Add egg and beat until blended in
-Add dry ingredients alternating with milk to make a soft dough
-Preheat oven to 180C
-Put dough into cookie press and use desired shape, pressing cookies onto parchment paper con a cookie sheet
-Bake cookies for 10 minutes or until edges start to turn golden
-Let cool
